- Partition Suits – A Partition Suit represents a legal dispute between parties who own a property but have different ideas about its use. This legal process is a powerful tool for resolving conflicts over property interests.
- Suits under specific Relief Act – The suit for declaration relief is within the section 34 of the Specific Relief Act, 1963 which enables a person who have his right or legal character declared by a court of law. But this does not mean that the section sanctions every form of declaration.
- Money Recovery Suit – A suit for recovery of money is a civil remedy and acts as an effective remedy for the recovery of money. The suit can be filed within 3 years from the date of cause of action. A suit is instituted as a plaint. Plaint is the description of facts of the case and the exact amount being claimed along with any interest.
- Suits Based on Contract Act – Under Section 74 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, it is specified that if an amount is mentioned in a contract as the sum to be paid in case of a breach, then the suffering party is entitled to reasonable compensation, not exceeding the amount specified.
- Landlord Tenant Suits – Section 12(2) of the Bombay Rent Act creates a positive bar in respect of a suit for recovery of possession and it expressly provides that no suit for recovery of possession shall be instituted by a landlord against a tenant on the ground of nonpayment of standard rent or permitted increases due, until the expiration.
